Hi lovelies, I'm so sorry for going MIA on you guys. Things have been spinning a lot faster and I had a lot on my plate. But guess what, I'm back for y'all!!!
So, we're still in the month of love (well technically, lol) as Val's day was less than a week ago! How was your val, people?
I saw a lot of funny, sad and weird dps and status that day and I couldn't help but ponder why some people were feeling unloved, weird and funny in a less pleasing way...I reached out to some people and here's what they had to say.
"Some guys that were on my case just vamoosed, not all sha, but those I was anticipating, kind of disappointed me" A lady who works in a restaurant said " I did not get any gift on Val's day, i was working all day, but on getting to my boyfriend's place, he did not give me anything, i felt sad as he doesn't buy me any gifts or stuff like that" I further asked her why she was still with him then " abeg my sister, men are now scarce nowadays, especially those that want to date and stay in a relationship, infact talking about it now, i feel more sad" She walked away downcasted. I quickly turned to the other lady who stood beside her, "I did not get anything too, it's all good" Another person, a guy said," She had not given me any direct answer and I didn't want to bother myself buying her anything expensive, so I just chilled in a bar in the evening with my boys" Lol, nawa oh, so now it is now a case of give to receive!
I met someone who had something positive to say! " my Val's day was so nice oh, I had various guys asking me out before then and it was like they were in a competition to out do themselves, mehn I can't even complain!" Nice, at least coming from a girl.
But generally, most other people who all pleaded anonymity, were generally unhappy and couldn't understand why no one could love them, as to hang out with them, or get them a gift. I was left thinking, where they looking in the wrong direction? Or where they expecting too much from those people who are already in their lives even if they are not officially dating? Or have they let real love pass them by, by judging those who they meet on a high yardstick? I wouldn't know, but I feel one should not end up staying or being around someone that makes you sad or unsure of yourself, because you will only end up killing all the love you have inside of you. One more thing, always look out for the signs even if its at the early stage of a relationship in other to avoid stories that touch!
Somehow one's true intention will shine through, even if it's for a nanosecond, grab it people, place it on the radar, under the 'heart and head microscope', so you can see and understand better!
How was your Val's day and how's your love life in general, if sweet, give tips so that everyone can learn and in turn would have a sweet love life and if you don't have any love life *coughs*, tell us what you have been doing so that we would all avoid it abeg!
