Hale Neuro

I had some spare time on my hands and decided to visit Sammy. She was a witty friend of mine with a bright yellow personality, I loved her! On getting to her house, I knocked at the door and her grandma opened up. Grandma remained healthy into her 80's, her hair full and black with a white pattern on it like Rogue from X-Men.
"good evening ma" " how are you Helen and how are your parents?"  "they are good ma. Grandma you look so young" "hahaha yes my daughter, I am, thank you!"

I left Sammy's house happy as usual, with thoughts of how youthful her grandma looked. I certainly wanted to be like that at 80! She also told me "a sound mind brings forth sound health and a happy and fulfilled life"

A sound mind like when one's total frame of thinking, inclusive of one's rationale, logic and emotions, where every part of the human mind, including all the processes that makes the mind function and come to conclusion, is sound and good? I guess so!

But in reality, there are so many circumstances that occur in life that deters one from having a sound mind.

So many issues ranging from stress, fatigue, anger, lack etc. But do you know in real sense those foibles are illusions… You create your own reality each day everyday, irrespective of what life throws your way. One of the ways to create your reality is to have a positive one, think ‘everything is working for my good’, ‘everything would turn out right’, ‘life’s good’ and what then happens is that that thought turns into your reality, dang!

Isn’t it funny that no matter how much we talk, complain or worry; life still continues to happen? It only means that to survive and graduate into thriving, you have to hack life. Yessss

And can this be done, of course (my friend Sammy’s grandma has found the trick and that’s why she’s thriving at 80) Does it work for everyone? Ideally it should within the zone of your individual receptivity. The first thing is to be introspective, man know thyself. Who am I (you don’t have to know everything about you, because life is continuous and you would definitely discover new things about yourself ) but for now, who am I right now. This will help you know who you are at the moment and let you shed off who you were prior to that, especially areas and sides to you that you want to unlearn). What are the things I can take and not take right now? What are the things I love and I dot love right now. What are the things I desire reasonably and things I do not desire anymore right now. (You can categorize it, say in terms of leisure, character in people, food types, places etc)

When you do a list of these things, collate all the positives and then have a plan of how you can restructure your mind and life today strictly to those positives. Mind you, you can do this routinely, maybe yearly or bi-annually. Those things that stay static in your list is truly who you are. And that’s how you can discover yourself and attain a hale and hearty neuro, body and mind full of mindfulness. Now we all want that!
